Thanksgiving Day is just around the corner! We’ve come up with five DIY projects to keep the kids busy while you prepare Thanksgiving Dinner. These DIY’s are also the perfect classroom projects to teach kids the importance of giving thanks, especially during this time of the year.
1. THANKSGIVING GOBBLE BAGS
Gobble Gobble! Check out Makeovers & Motherhood’s great take on the Thanksgiving Gobbler Bag! The children will even have the opportunity to decorate their own bags! Instead of filling them with treats and giving them away, children can keep their Thanksgiving Gobbler Bags out throughout the day to give other students the opportunity to list reasons why they’re thankful for their fellow classmates. It’s a fun way to remind kids to say “thank you” to their friends!
2. HANDPRINT TURKEY HAT
Would Thanksgiving really be Thanksgiving without a couple of turkeys running around the classroom or house? Crafty Morning came up with a solution to ensure that you’ll have a handful of little gobblers roaming around at all times, with the handprint turkey hat!
3. TURKEY TAG
Turkey Tag is the best way to keep the kids racing around the backyard while the turkey is baking! Visit Lets-Get-Together’s blog to see how to make these cute tags and get a wild game of turkey tag going! Trust us, it’ll be the best way to work up your appetite.
4. PUMPKIN PIE SPINNER
Take a second to ask your children what they are thankful for. Then get them started on this adorable Pumpkin Pie Spinner (craft #15). It’s interactive and it allows kids to list all the wonderful things that they are grateful for.
5. TURKEY PLANTER
How cute are these Turkey Planters by Growing A Jeweled Rose?! Kids can grow, cut, and style their own turkey feathers! You can get started on these crafts early and turn them into a beautiful Thanksgiving Centerpiece! The kids will be so excited to see their art displayed.
We hope you have a great time with these DIYs! CM School Supply wants to thank all of our loyal customers for all that they do and we wish everyone a great Thanksgiving!
